New Reads

I forgot to mention that I finished The Help two weeks ago and I thought it was one the best books I've ever read. I laughed, cried, reflected, and smiled all the way through this book. It's definitely one that I'm recommending to all of my friends. My mom has started reading it, and she'll pass it on when she's finished. I can't rave enough about this book and how important it is for everyone to read and learn more about the state of our country and those who worked it fifty years ago. It really made me think about all the stories I've heard from people I've worked for in the past and how I've been treated, as well as people that my family has hired over the years. I'm sure if you read it, it will make you think too. It's a fabulous book and I know that I will read it again. I'm excited to see the movie too and see how they compare.

My dad and I just got back from our trip to the library and I just picked up Katie Couric's The Best Advice I've Ever Got. I heard about this book a few months back and have been intrigued to read it ever since. It features advice from many political leaders, to actors and models to cooks and comedians. I'm excited to dive right in and gain some new wisdom from many of my favorite "all stars." Because who doesn't love new advice? (especially if it's the best!) Has anyone read it? Was it a good read?

I'm always loving to know what you guys are reading so I can get tips. It's hard for me to read for pleasure once the school year starts, so I'm trying to get as much in as possible now. I'm excited to relax and keep reading!

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!
