Lusting for (more) Leather!

I saw this last week and could imagine all the possibilities! It has itself going right on my wishlist. As the fall temps plummet (it frost here last night!), this is the perfect layer to give a little edge and sophistication to my wardrobe! (and the pricetag doesn't hurt either). Do you have a leather jacket you just love?

Sorry I'm bombarding you guys with budget buys! Tomorrow, I promise, I have something for fall you'll want to pick up. Seriously, a fall necessity!

Better than I bargained for!

This past weekend, our church had its annual Oktoberfest market where a bunch of antique vendors come to sell beautiful jewelry, coats, furniture and nick knacks. Our family usually goes there and looks, but never really comes home with anything...

until I went and found myself the perfect fall leather handbag for the whopping price of $12. Yes, it's real leather! (I honestly thought it was plastic when I first eyed it, but the smell and the feel totally gave away it's "better with age" charm!)

I was shocked that was the price. I was expecting way more since this lady was selling vintage coats for over $100. I was so excited when I spotted it, because in my past few Friday Fancies, I've been loving big, leather shopper bags. They're effortless and go with everything and I just wanted one! Though this isn't as big as a shopper, it's a cute little bag that will definitely put a spring in my fall step! It kind of looks like an old doctor's bag and I love that about it!

What I'm Wearing

Literally.

This is what I'm wearing right now, and this is what I do when I don't have an iPhone to share instantly with you (and I my camera charger is MIA!). I have to say, I love it. Fall is here, the wind is coming, and I know that the rain won't bring me down with my boots and later on my favorite rain coat. Here it is: easy, breezy, fall fall fall! What's got you thinking fall today?

Colorful or classic?

Hello ladies! Today I would like your advice. I'm going to a wedding this weekend (actually I'm going to two weddings two weeks in a row!) and have been torn about what to wear. I told my friend that I was thinking black and she said it's summer, wear some color! So if you were me, would you do color or stick to basic black?

 I love this black peplum dress! It's so gorgeous on, and I think the peplum is so feminine, with a little spin on a classic LBD. I'd keep the accessories silver, and add a bit of sparkle as well.

I love this color blocked frock that I snagged last year. It's just so fun and I love wearing it, I feel trendy! It's a little funkier and I would accessorize with gold and my faux snake-skin Forever 21 strappy heels. 

So what would you do?? A note: for this wedding I am the pianist for the ceremony. Not that makes a huge difference, but usually musicians wear black when they perform at gigs. But I'm willing to break from tradition! Do you lean towards black at weddings or do you embrace colors?

Friday Fancies: Date Night

Who doesn't love a good date? I was so excited when {av} wanted date night to be this week's theme. This would be for a fancier date, but I love that with a drop of a hat, you can change the look for a more casual vibe. Jackets are fantastic aren't they? I'm still smitten with this color and I love those nude shoes!! I would want the special guy to surprise me with something fancyish but still low keyish enough to have a romantic feel! What's your perfect date night? What's the best date you've ever been on? Spill!

I hope you all have lovely weekends! I'm not doing too much...just graduating! I'm so excited for that on Sunday so for now I'll just be relaxing, blogging, throw a run or two in there and eat some ice cream. Ice cream sounds good! What are you up to this weekend?

My Style: Chambray Casual

So what could be a better Friday than a comfy chambray shirt, leggings, my infinity sweater and my favorite boots. It may become a go-to. Emphasis on may. Thank you blogs and Pinterest for helping me with my style! Yes, I do get lots of great ideas from blogs and seeing what everyone in the blog community is wearing and making it my own. Who else wants to confess that they do that!

So tomorrow is my birthday!! I already received beautiful gifts over the weekend, so I don't have anything on my wishlist (until Christmas that is!)! Tomorrow I'll share my dream cake!
